| The PTL-2R Explorer II from MicroFireuses the high brightness Luminus Phatlight SST-50 LED in the popular Terminator II body. The SST-50 produces 500 lumens of bright white light in full brightness mode or 100 lumens at low power. Phlatlight LEDs efficiently harness light from a small, bright point source, producing a penetrating beam of white light with a bright, even field. A tactical button on/off switch mounted at the rear of the compact body is used to choose full, low, or strobing modes. The Explorer II uses the same 168A rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries and charger as the Terminator II. Unlike the HID Terminators, the SST-50 LED comes instantly to full brightness with no warm up time. The Explorer II is designed for an extended run time of 90 minutes a full brightness, 15 hours in the low brightness (patrol) mode and 2 1/2 hours in stobing mode. The compact, shaped aluminum body fits securely and comfortably in the hand. The D2 cradle charger recharges the batteries in 2 1/2 hours. Includes batteries, charger and belt mount tactical pouch. |
