| The PTL-2R MicroFire Explorer II rechargeable flashlight uses the high brightness Luminus Phatlight SST-50 LED in a compact matte black body. The US made SST-50 LED produces 500 lumens of bright white light in full brightness mode or 100 lumens at low power. SST-50 LEDs efficiently harness light from a small single chip point source, producing a penetrating beam of white light with a bright, even field. A tactical button switch mounted at the rear of the compact body selects full, low, or strobe operation modes. The Explorer II uses the same T168-LIT 3.7 volt rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries and charger as the Terminator II. Unlike the MicroFire HID Terminator series, the SST-50 LED comes instantly to full brightness with no warm up time. The Explorer II is designed for an extended run time of up to 90 minutes at full brightness, 15 hours in the low brightness (patrol) mode and 2 1/2 hours in stobe mode. The compact, shaped aluminum body fits securely and comfortably in the hand. Options include the D2-DC car charger that recharges the batteries in 2 1/2 hours. The Explorer II includes two T168-LIT batteries, a 120-240 volt A2-AC/168 AC charger and a belt mount tactical pouch. |
